
ELIGIBILITY
- A child served in a pediatric health services facility shall
meet any of the following criteria:
· Be technology dependent, requiring life-sustaining equipment or interventions, such as tracheostomy, ventilator assistance, central venous access line, hyperalimentation, gastrostomy tube, or nasogastric tube for feedings.
· Be medically fragile requiring ongoing treatment administered by a licensed registered professional nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN), such as nebulizer treatments, administration of oxygen, apnea/cardiac monitoring, intermittent urinary catheterization.
- Children who attend must require ongoing monitoring and
assessment by an RN because of such care needs as seizure
disorders, cardiac conditions, diabetes, burn care, etc.
